Nurturing the Next Generation of Designers: LWK + PARTNERS at De Montfort University Dubai
As part of our ongoing commitment to cultivating future talent and building meaningful connections with academic institutions, LWK + PARTNERS proudly participated in the 2025 Graduate Show hosted by De Montfort University Dubai. Our Director, Mithun Varghese, joined the event as a member of the external critique panel, offering insights and feedback to final-year architecture students as they presented their capstone projects.
The event celebrated creative exploration, design excellence, and contextual thinking values deeply embedded in our own practice. It was a privilege to witness the energy, curiosity, and bold ideas shaping the region’s next generation of architects.
As part of our engagement, we also offered a symbolic gesture by gifting design books to the top-performing students recognising not only their academic achievement but also their potential to contribute meaningfully to the profession.
Looking ahead, we are delighted to begin a new chapter of collaboration with De Montfort University by welcoming selected students into our internship programme. We are currently reviewing portfolios and preparing to onboard interns as early as August 2025. This step marks an exciting expansion of our educational partnerships and reaffirms our belief in the value of nurturing emerging talent through real-world exposure and mentorship.
With a growing network of academic collaborations across the region and internationally, we are scaling our commitment to bridging professional practice with education investing in knowledge exchange that empowers both students and the industry alike.
