Focusing on “Better Housing”: Site Visit & Design Exchange Event for ORIENTAL HEARTLAND and Paragon Garden
Recently, with the strong support of the Shenzhen Exploration & Design Industry Association and the Shenzhen Registered Architects Association, LWK + PARTNERS organized an immersive on-site visit and design exchange event themed “Quality Residences”. Led by the chief designers of the projects, industry professionals were guided to two benchmark developments designed by LWK + PARTNERS — China Overseas Oriental Heartland and China Resources Runhongcheng · Paragon Garden. Through on-site inspections and in-depth sharing sessions, the team shared the design logic and implementation details of “Quality Residences” with participants in an intimate setting.
As the first “Quality Residence” benchmark in eastern Shenzhen, China Overseas Oriental Heartland has emerged as the landmark of the Dayun Central Area with a phenomenal performance. The project defines the city skyline with its iconic staggered silhouette, optimizes living experiences through three-sided lighting and over 10㎡ wide-view balconies, and unifies the landscape and interior design under a 1/4 arc aesthetic. Integrating more than 20 specialized materials such as intangible cultural heritage copper craftsmanship, it further constructs an extreme sound insulation system with full concrete exterior walls and sound-insulating floor slabs. Every detail reflects meticulous craftsmanship, embodying the relentless pursuit of “Quality Residences”.
As China Resources’ first benchmark project since the implementation of the new residential regulations, Runhongcheng · Paragon Garden takes the “Quality Residence” concept as its core, breaking the separation between traditional community commerce and residential spaces. Centered on the principles of “convenience, diversity, and warmth”, the project innovates by integrating consumption into daily life through scientific circulation planning, balancing functionality and experience with precisely controlled spatial scales, and creating memorable atmospheres with high-quality materials — thus building a “convenient lifestyle circle at the doorstep” for residents.
