28 Mar 2018
Director of LWK, Mr. Niki Lai, together with Business Development Manager, Mr. Gary Guo, attended the “Building for the Future Campaign” on behalf of the company on 25 March. The tour is a three-day event organised by the HKTDC to Fuzhou and Xiamen, where participants explored various development opportunities presented by the urbanisation in Mainland China through different activities, such as forums, B2B meetings and site visits.
Participants of the tour came from a wide range of sectors, and are all experts in their respective fields, including urban planning, architecture and urban design, surveying, property development, energy and infrastructure, green facilities, building consultation and management, property management, and interior design.
The three-day itinerary covered many activities. Among them, the “Making of a City – Fuzhou and Hong Kong Forum”, covering topics of Fujian-Hong Kong infrastructure partnerships, urban planning and design, and architectural culture attracted the attention of over 500 industry representatives. The itinerary also includes activities such as Fujian-Hong Kong B2B meetings and Fuzhou infrastructure project presentations, so that participants can experience Fuzhou and Xiamen’s latest urbanisation developments first-hand.
LWK opened its first studio in Mainland China in 2002, and our business now covers a wide terrain in the Greater China area. The visiting tour revealed the latest developments in the needs of Mainland’s urban planning and urbanisation. In the future, we will continue to grasp the opportunities presented by the country’s development plans, and utilise our expertise to create more quality architecture.
