LWK Third BEAM Plus Platinum Rating
06 Mar 2018
Sustainable development is a major direction for tomorrow’s architecture. Being part of the global village, LWK designers try their best to incorporate green concepts into their various projects, and their efforts are recognised by numerous institutions world-wide.
Homantin Hillside, one of our latest residential projects located in Hung Hom, Hong Kong, has just been awarded the Final Platinum rating under the BEAM Plus New Buildings assessment by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC).
The assessment seeks to reduce the environmental impacts of a new building while also improving environmental quality and user satisfaction, and covers six categories, including site aspects, materials aspects, energy use, water use, indoor environmental quality, and innovations and additions. The Final Platinum is the highest rating on the assessment scale. According to statistics released by the HKGBC, out of the 600 applications that they received for the assessment, only 11 residential developments have achieved the Final Platinum rating.
Other developments by LWK that have previously received the same rating include Whitesands in Lantau Island and Dunbar Place in Ho Man Tin.
