Project WeCan Job Tasting Programme 2017 Presentation Ceremony
16 Sep 2017
13th September, the Project WeCan Job Tasting Programme Presentation Ceremony 2017 was held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The ceremony was held for the first time to commend students’ efforts throughout their internship. In addition to certificate presentation and student sharing sessions, a behind-the-scene video was also premiered. The video comprised of participant interviews and snippets of a typical work day so that the public can gain a better understanding of this programme.
As a long-standing corporate partner, LWK has been participating in the programme for three consecutive years. The Job Tasting Programme aims at providing students from humble backgrounds with hands-on job experiences in sizable corporations and opportunities to explore their potentials and vocational choices. Students are required to go through normal application procedures and are assigned to mentors in their respective workplaces. This year, three Secondary 5 students from Ko Lui Secondary School were appointed to LWK as summer interns and have all finished their work in August with excellent performance.
Our director, Mr. William Cheung, attended the presentation ceremony to share this significant moment with our summer interns from Ko Lui Secondary School.
The ceremony was officiated by Mr Stephen Ng, the Chairman of Project WeCan Advisory Committee.
A behind-the-scene video was premiered to introduce the programme to the public.
