10 LaSalle (click for project details) is recently showcased on international architectural design platforms Architizer and Archello, as well as identity magazine, one of the Middle East’s leading magazines.
The architecture of 10 LaSalle takes inspiration from its remarkable location ,which is the hub of traditional elite schools in Hong Kong, for a ‘flipping book’ design theme and façade fabric, infusing the essence of literature (reading) well into the residence.
The residents’ clubhouse acts as the visual centrepiece of the site. Its pod-like structure mimics an ‘opened book with flipping pages’ and is wrapped in vertical bronze architectural fins all the way from floor to ceiling for a sense of continuity. At dusk, light spills out through the louvres producing a beautiful space that glows in the leafy streetscape.
