The inaugural Design in Sustainability Conference, held on November 17, 2024, at KAPSARC’s Apex Conference Center in Riyadh, marked a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s commitment to sustainable development. Organized by the Architecture & Design Commission under the Ministry of Culture, the conference gathered global thought leaders, architects, and innovators to explore sustainability in design, circular economies, and the future of environmentally responsible architecture.
As part of the exhibition accompanying the conference, LWK + PARTNERS’ Library of Light was showcased among the leading sustainability case studies in the Kingdom. Curated by RIBA, this blueprint for a sustainable Saudi Arabia highlighted architectural projects that integrate local materials, renewable energy, and eco-friendly technologies while supporting cultural preservation and environmental harmony. Each project on display embodied the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030, demonstrating how innovative and sustainable architecture can redefine urban environments.
Being recognized in such a distinguished platform reaffirms our commitment to pushing the boundaries of responsible design. We are honored to contribute to the Kingdom’s evolving architectural landscape and look forward to continued collaborations that drive sustainable progress.
