With over 70% of the world’s population expected to reside in cities by 2050, reshaping our urban centers has become imperative. Over the course of 2 days our MENA team have participated at the prestigious 3rd Annual Modernscapes MENA Summit, held on the 3rd and 4th of October at the Address Dubai Marina, UAE. This summit, dedicated to the future of urban spaces and innovative landscape design, brought together industry leaders, including our very own Kerem Cengiz, MENA Managing Director and Kourosh Salehi, Global Design Principal.
Kerem Cengiz along with fellow panellists discussed the fusion of art and ecology in elevating landscape design. He emphasized the crucial role of community and highlighted how landscape architecture can combat environmental challenges, creating more sustainable and vibrant urban environments in the panel discussion titled: Art, Science, And Sustainability – A Collaborative Approach to Landscape Design.
Kourosh Salehi have presented his insights during the summit through an exclusive Keynote. He delved into creative solutions for reviving urban spaces through innovative landscape design, focusing on using vertical and rooftop gardens and incorporating multifunctional design elements. His philosophy of ‘Contextual Metabolism’ is a guide to the uplift of current living standards and a battle for climate change and preservation of natural resources.

With a focus on green urbanism, liveable cities, and sustainable communities, over 200+ landscape architects, consultants, contractors, developers, and municipal officials representing key projects and urban revitalization initiatives were gathered to share knowledge and insights.
