LWK + PARTNERS at the Inaugural RIBA Gulf Student Awards
LWK + PARTNERS is proud to have participated in the inaugural RIBA Gulf Student Awards, held on November 6, 2024, during Dubai Design Week at Atrium 5. This landmark event celebrated the exceptional talent and creativity of architecture students from across the Gulf, showcasing the future of design in the region.
Our very own Tala Alnounou, Head of Marketing and Research MENA, represented LWK + PARTNERS as a jury member. It was an honor to evaluate submissions that demonstrated architectural innovation, sustainable design, and artistic excellence, pushing boundaries and setting a high standard for emerging talent.
Recognizing Excellence in Design
The awards featured categories such as Best Drawing, Best Model, Best Project, Sustainability, Creativity, and Social Impact, encouraging students to embrace forward-thinking design solutions. Winning entries highlighted critical themes such as low-carbon architecture, biodiversity integration, and energy-efficient solutions, reflecting the growing importance of sustainability in the industry.
Aligned with the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge, the awards emphasized the role of design in addressing environmental and social challenges. This focus not only highlighted the creativity of young architects but also their commitment to shaping a responsible and innovative future.

The event concluded with the RIBA Future Architects Networking Reception, a vibrant gathering of students, tutors, and industry professionals. This session provided a platform for meaningful exchanges, fostering connections and building bridges between academia and practice.
