Wuxi Center 66 Phase I Office Tower II wins Quality Building Award 2020

Wuxi Center 66 Phase I Office Tower II in Wuxi, China won a Merit Award for Building Outside Hong Kong in the Quality Building Award 2020! The award was presented at a ceremony in Hong Kong on 2 June.

Located in Wuxi’s commercial Liangxi district, Wuxi Center 66 Phase I Office Tower II  (click for project details) contains 21 office levels built above a six-storey podium mall, featuring interlocking volumes and dynamic vertical fins. LWK + PARTNERS carried out renovations to the existing retail podium by introducing a cinema and a redesigned entrance that better reflects the identity of the project.

THE PAVILIA BAY (click for project details) and Tsuen Wan Sports Centre (click for project details), both in Hong Kong, China, also made into the fiercely competitive final round of the award, respectively in the categories Hong Kong Residential (Multiple Buildings) and Hong Kong Non-Residential (New Building – Government, Institutional or Community).

THE PAVILIA BAY, a residential project by the sea, carries the themes of ‘sunshine’ and ‘yachting’ throughout its building form, façades, landscape and interiors. There are no sharp corners or straight lines across the streamlined elevation, blending well with the surrounding area.

Tsuen Wan Sports Centre, positioned as an urban connector containing sports facilities and shared spaces over five floors, has a 1,900-seat main arena and the district’s first outdoor climbing wall. The building also qualifies as a venue for international sports events.
