Aoti Vanke Centre opens in Hangzhou

Aoti Vanke Centre in Hangzhou officially opened yesterday!

Ferdinand Cheung, LWK + PARTNERS Director and Principal Architect of the project, and Samuel Wong, the firm’s Associate Director, expressed their elation through a video shown at the ceremony. “We are grateful to be part of this landmark development in Hangzhou,” said Ferdinand. “We hope Aoti Vanke Centre will open up people’s imagination of work in this beautiful city.”

This innovative working hub is located at the heart of Qianjiang Century City central business district, an area constantly under the radar of the market due to its proximity to the future 2022 Asian Games Village.

The project responds to increasingly future-looking corporate visions and the changing ways in which people collaborate, blurring the work-life distinction and encouraging interaction, participation and sustainability.

It reinterprets the podium-tower typology, with twin office towers connected by a podium that is formed by a series of cascading outdoor terraces. Every terrace is built with a different degree of publicness. The project has a greening ratio of 30% and is recognised with LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
