Empowering Future Women Leaders in Design: A Special Afternoon Tea at LWK
In celebration of International Women’s Day, LWK was proud to host an inspiring event dedicated to empowering the next generation of female talent in the architecture and design industry. We welcomed 25 enthusiastic female students from seven universities for an exclusive afternoon tea with our talented LWK ladies at our Dubai Studio.
The event provided a unique opportunity for these aspiring designers to gain one-on-one time with our experienced team members, learn from their journeys, and discuss the challenges and triumphs of women in the design field. Our goal was to create a supportive space where these young women could network, seek advice, and be inspired to pursue their passions in design and architecture.
As we reflect on the importance of this day, we also acknowledge the ongoing challenges faced by women in the industry. Despite women making up 63% of university-level design students, their representation in leadership roles remains disproportionately low at 17%. This discrepancy highlights the need for continued support and advocacy for women in design globally.
At LWK, we are committed to breaking down barriers and fostering an inclusive environment where women can thrive and lead. We believe that by nurturing and empowering female talent, we can create a more diverse and dynamic industry.
