Hebei Grand Hotel, Anyue in Shijiazhuang, China was recently showcased at the HKIA Annual Awards & Exhibition 2019/20. During 23-29 November, visitors of The Mills in Hong Kong found themselves greeted by a row of grand overhead scrolls hung over the core building space, featuring a series of outstanding architectural designs which make up the award winners and finalists. Hebei Grand Hotel, Anyue is a finalist in the Medal of the Year / Merit Award outside Hong Kong – Commercial Building category.
Designed by Director Ferdinand Cheung of our Hong Kong studio, Hebei Grand Hotel, Anyue offers a distinctive urban getaway close to the ancient city of Zhengding by integrating elements of traditional architecture, a delicate mix of private and public spaces, and a range of thoughtful, verdant landscaping. With a masterplan inspired by the ancient city, the hotel is north-south oriented with two medium-rise towers and 60 villas orthogonally arranged along the central axis.
