The International Joint Research Laboratory of Eco Urban Design (ILEUD) Academic Committee meeting, which is accredited by the Ministry of Education of China, was held this afternoon. Prof Stephen Lau from LWK + PARTNERS GBA studio, Design Research Director and Honorary Professor of The University of Hong Kong, attended the meeting as a member of the academic committee.
The meeting was chaired by Shuoxian Wu, Director of the academic committee and one of the Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. International experts from noted institutions and universities recognised the achievements of the laboratory in the past few years, which identified the research hotspots and responded to the key demands of eco-cities. Valuable suggestions were also put forward for the future of the laboratory, including but not limited to the ways it cooperates with global parties, commercialisation of scientific research results, big data platform development, and collaboration with renowned international journals.
