The Additional District Cooling System at Kai Tak Development, Hong Kong, China celebrated its groundbreaking on 19 April!
As Design Architect and Authorised Person of the Additional District Cooling System Plant Room at the Kai Tak Development, LWK + PARTNERS was honoured to join the ceremony with Director HC Chan explaining the project details to Secretary for the Environment Kam-sing Wong and Director of Electrical and Mechanical Services Eric Pang both from the Hong Kong SAR Government.
To cater for increased demand for energy-efficient cooling in the emerging Kai Tak community, LWK + PARTNERS came into a collaboration with Paul Y.-Qianhai Joint Venture to design, construct and deliver the energy-efficient Additional District Cooling System Plant Room at the Kai Tak Development within a very tight schedule, to serve the future Kai Tak Sports Park and the forthcoming New Acute Hospital.
