The Architecture and Interior Design Department at the College of Architecture, Art & Design at the American University of Sharjah recently hosted a series of live lectures on personal branding and project management as part of their Professional Practice class. The guest lectures, which took place on April 3 and 5, provided over 60 students who attended in person with valuable insights from our industry leaders on real professional scenarios in the design field.
One of the highlights of the series was a session by Ahmed Fahmy, Senior Project Manager – MENA at LWK + PARTNERS, who spoke about the key skills required for successful project management. Fahmy drew on his 20 years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering & Construction industry to provide students with practical tips and strategies for managing projects, client interaction, and effective consulting skills that join the two together.
Tala Alnounou, Head of Marketing for the MENA region at LWK + PARTNERS, also delivered a talk on Personal Branding for Architects. Alnounou shared her insights on how architects can use design thinking to find their voice and leverage their impact to generate business.
The lectures were well-attended and received positive feedback from students, who appreciated the opportunity to learn from industry experts and gain valuable insights into the current job market.
