MIPIM Asia Wraps Up with Danzishi Old Street Winning Gold Award for Best Retail Development

MIPIM Asia – The Property Leaders’ Summit in Asia Pacific has had its Awards Gala Dinner on 28 November at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, drawing a full period to the year’s events. LWK is honoured to be part of the professional discussions at the summit, and taking home the title of Best Retail Development – Gold Award for our Chongqing project, Landmark Riverside Park – Phase II: Danzishi Old Street.

The MIPIM Asia Awards started taking in submission earlier in June this year. After multiple evaluations, shortlists for the awards were announced in October. Danzishi Old Street was announced Gold Award winner at the gala dinner out of over 100 submissions from 14 countries. It stands as a definite recognition for our design capabilities. Success is not a coincidence. It is the fruit of our continuous collaboration with Hongkong Land for the last nine years. We would like to take this chance to thank our client for their trust and support, as well as our project teams for their silent efforts.

In the afternoon of 28th, our Director, Mr. Ferdinand Cheung, also attended a panel discussion named Flexible Workspaces: Revolution of the Office Market as one of the panellists, where he shared his view on how co-working concept and its hybrid models are revolutionising the office market. His quote, “Life is short! Work somewhere awesome!” was even chosen by the organiser as highlight of the discussion.

As a steadfast supporter of exchange of knowledge and ideas, we are glad to be a participant of the event, but more importantly, it is proof that our continual involvement in such exchange is resulting in better designs. We always work towards better design solutions, and winning the Gold Award for Best Retail Development is the fruit of our ceaseless effort.

We would like to thank everyone who present at the MIPIM events, as well as the organiser for providing the platform. We hope to see everyone again next year for another round of discussion!
