Project WeCan Partner Sharing & Career Exploration Day

We are honoured to enter the eighth year of partnership with Project WeCan, which endeavoures to encourage personal growth and development of the youths in Hong Kong with hands-on training and workshops.

Our Associate Director Anika Poon was invited as a keynote speaker at the Partner Sharing Session on 29 February to share her rewarding experience of staying connected with students during the pandemic through Virtual Internship Programme and Online Career Exploration Days last year, to provide opportunities to students to understand architecture industry and how to become an architect. We hope, through the sharing, to encourage other partner companies and schools to participate in the programmes while adapting to the new normal.

Another round of Career Exploration Day was just held on 27 February, still in virtual format. Through live broadcasting, Anika outlined the career path, qualities and skills required to be an architect, and shared insights and personal working experience.  She also taught the students to hand make their own 3D perspective model, which is a fundamental industry skill for showing a design concept.

Project WeCan is a Business-in-Community programme launched in 2011, aiming to provide less-privileged students with opportunities and care to improve their higher studies and future career prospects.
