LWK + PARTNERS named a Top Ten Commercial Space Design Institution
LWK + PARTNERS was recently named one of the Top Ten Commercial Space Design Institutions at the 2019 China (Shenzhen) Real Estate Design Conference, which was part of the 46th China (Shenzhen) International Real Estate Expo.
Organised by the Conference Committee, the award recognises property design firms with the most authority, credibility and influence after a series of stringent assessments.
This year’s Design Conference was held from 19 – 21 August at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center on the theme ‘Design China’. It provides a platform for design firms to connect with real estate companies, government bodies as well other industry players, through a host of activities like showcases, seminars and professional assessments.
Our Director Kelvin Hui was invited to take part in a panel discussion on the topic ‘Social Interactions in an Era of the Experiential’. He stressed the importance of time-resistance in commercial space designs, saying that designers must stay abreast of the latest trends in consumer patterns and people’s way of living. But for the best project outcomes, Kelvin said it really comes down to mutual communication and gaining customer trust.
Joana Wong, our Associate Director – Decoration, was also a speaker at the event. She explained how poetics and emotional sentiments are as important as scientific calculations in good designs – including architecture and interiors – which have the potential to impact people’s lives.
Trends are there to catch – and change. LWK + PARTNERS will continue to keep its antenna out for the changing market needs and drive positive innovations for built environments around the world.
