Two hotel projects featured on World Architecture News
Our projects Radisson Collection Resort, Nanjing in China (click for project details) and Hebei Grand Hotel, Anyue in Shijiazhuang, China (click for project details) have been featured by World Architecture News, a renowned international design platform.
Radisson Collection Resort, Nanjing was noted for its interior design which fuses modern hospitality with fine Chinese artisanship through a contemporary depiction of Nanjing’s famous local weaving tradition Yunjin (meaning ‘cloud brocade’). With a subdued approach, LWK + PARTNERS Interior Design Team reinvents the glamour of the local textile artisanship to craft an exceptional urban resort.
Another article highlighted our lighting design for Hebei Grand Hotel, Anyue. Lighting plays an essential role to transform the hotel’s magnificent luxury during the day to subtlety and agility at night. Drawing inspiration from Chinese landscape paintings, the façade lighting mimics the effect when the morning haze forms a shimmering outline at the building edges, with rays penetrating the valleys (low-rise villas). This project has recently won an Honorable Mention in the LIT Lighting Design Awards 2020.
